Jennifer Heavner Baker holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Music Theatre from the University of Oklahoma. She is a professional actress and choreographer who has worked in numerous productions across the country. Most recent roles include the role of Nancy in The Sooner Theatre’s production of Oliver!, Carlotta in Phantom, Miss Mona in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, and the Prima Donna in Sugar Babies at Bucks County Playhouse. Additionally, she has appeared in commercials, television and film. As a choreographer, her jobs include Six Flags Amusement Parks, Discoveryland, Bear Creek Farms, the Oklahoma Dome Dedication, numerous musicals and live events, and the recent Oklahoma Lottery commercials. She is active with the Norman Christmas Parade and June Bug Jam, Co-directs Norman’s Celebrity Sing, serves on the cabinet for United Way of Norman and the mayor’s Centennial Committee and is a board member for the Norman Chamber of Commerce. Jennifer resides in Norman with her husband Jay and their two daughters, Addison and Aubrey.

After working in the pr/marketing field for over 17 years (the past nine years devoted to promoting the arts in Norman including a 3-year stint on The Sooner Theatre board of directors from 1999-2002), Stephanie is now thrilled to go to work every day as the marketing director for The Sooner. Previously she was the executive director of the Norman Arts Council and communications officer at the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art at OU. She has a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma, is a graduate of Leadership Norman (class 24) and currently serves as a Leadership Norman co-chair. Other community involvement includes membership on the Norman Centennial Commission and board of directors seats with the Norman Arts Council and the Norman Convention & Visitors Bureau. She and her husband, Chris, have two incredible daughters.

Jay C. Schardt brings with him more than 25 years of experience in construction and mechanics and 17 years of theatrical experience. He is a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University where he obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Technical Theatre/ Design. He has since worked all over the world for many organizations including Disney and HollandAmerica Cruiseline, specializing in lighting, rigging and scenic technology. He has worked in Chicago, Minneapolis and many other locations across the United States. He is pleased to be our resident designer as well as Technical Director.

Jennifer has a BA in Journalism-Advertising and a M.Ed. in Adult and Community Education. She worked in the advertising and PR field for six years as an Account Executive working for the Dallas Times Herald, KLITE radio and The University of Oklahoma. Upon graduation, Jennifer worked for McDonnell Douglas and Integris Baptist Medical Center in training and development. During her employment with Integris Baptist, she earned an international certification in childbirth education and taught prepared childbirth for 10 years at Integris Baptist and Norman Regional Hospital.
After several summers of living at The Sooner Theatre during kids' camps and procuring live chickens for The Wizard of Oz, Jennifer Baker offered her the job as Development Coordinator.
Her fundraising experience and volunteer opportunities with the community, local schools, and children have opened this door for her. She thanks Jennifer Baker for giving her this opportunity to be a part of the most amazing and talented staff while working in the most fabulous historic building in Norman. Jennifer feels that life is one big theatrical production. "How awesome that we get to be in the 'cast' of life and choose the roles we play! May yours be a Rogers & Hammerstein musical!"
Jennifer is married to Kelly and they have two children.

Brandon Adams currently serves as the Production Manager at the Sooner Theatre. He is a recent graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in liberal studies. He works both on and off the stage, serving in various capacities, including stage management, assistant directing, as well as assisting in set and lighting design. He has performed on stage at The Sooner Theatre, as well as at Lyric Theatre, The Poteet Theatre, Mark Two Dinner Theatre (Orlando), and with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic.

Nicki Kraisky is new to the staff as Business Manager, but not new to the Sooner Theatre. She served as a Sooner board member from 2006 -2008. Originally from a suburb of Chicago, she attended the University of Oklahoma and received a degree in Fine Arts. After graduating, she worked in education, retail, and has over twenty years of accounting experience at a local CPA firm. This position of Business Manager is a perfect blend for me. I get to use my accounting skills, but in conjunction with a very creative atmosphere. She and her husband Ken live in Norman.
